Your time, your well-being.
OneMain provides eligible team members with an array of benefits to support time away from work (TAFW). From volunteer time to parental leave and adoption assistance, we're here to support you through all of life's twists and turns - whether you're in the office or out. Refer to the full Time Away from Work policy for more details.
Vacation is an annual earned benefit, and we want you to use it. This can be used after 30 days of employment. As a new hire, time is accrued at the end of each full calendar month worked from January through October and can equal up to 120 vacation hours a year. Vice President/Director/Regional Director and higher can equal up to 160 vacation hours a year. If you work in California, then vacation accrual begins on the first of the month following your start date. For more details, refer to the vacation grid in the Time Away from Work policy on MainStreet.
OneMain offers company-paid holidays. See the Time Away from Work policy on MainStreet for details.
OneMain provides two personal time (16 hours) at the beginning of each calendar year for personal issues that may arise. Team members hired after June 30 are provided one personal time (8 hours). With manager approval, non- exempt team members may take personal time in hourly increments. With manager approval, exempt team members may take personal time only in full-day increments. You may be eligible to accrue vacation, personal days, holiday and sick time depending upon the hours worked per week, when applicable. If you are a temporary worker (less than 20 hours per week), an intern or part-time worker, you are not eligible to be paid for vacation days, personal time, scheduled holidays or sick time, unless required by law.
A personal leave of absence should only be considered when no other leave options apply. Note that a personal leave of absence is unpaid time.
All parental leaves of absence, including maternity, adoption and bonding (for all parents), are set at six weeks at 100% pay after one or more years of service, immediately following the birth or adoption of a child. In the case of maternity leave, these six weeks are added to the standard six to eight weeks of short-term disability after the team member is no longer considered disabled, totaling a combined period of 12 to 14 weeks. Team members must have worked 1250 hours in the previous 12 months to be eligible for parental leave benefits.
Upon return from the leave, nursing mothers will be provided reasonable break time and a private area to express milk for a period of one year following the birth of their children. These lactation breaks will be unpaid unless otherwise required by state law.
You may be eligible for reimbursement for adoption related expenses, up to a maximum of $3,000 per child ($6,000 annual maximum), if you are full-time and have been employed for more than one year. See the Time Away from Work policy for more details on adoption eligibility.
Paid time off is provided to you if employed as regular full-time or regular part-time and scheduled to work 30 or more hours to take part in required periodic military training. When activated, your normal base salary will be offset with your military pay for up to a one-year period while on active duty. After one year, the organization will no longer pay any salary. Send a copy of your orders or memorandum to omleaveadministration@omf.com.
Team members who are eligible for paid sick time become eligible upon employment and receive paid sick time based upon standard work week hours immediately upon accrual. Eligible team members are granted up to five sick days when needed for unscheduled or unexpected health or emergency needs, health emergencies in their immediate family or dependent care emergencies. New team members hired through July 31 receive five days (40 hours). Team members hired after July 31 are granted sick days on a prorated basis.
We recognize that bereavement is a difficult life event, requiring time to grieve and fulfill family obligations. We further recognize that failure to take this time may negatively impact work and your transition back to work. It is our policy to provide you with paid bereavement leave following the death of an immediate family member. You may be allowed up to five days per occurrence with management approval.
We're passionate about giving our time to improve the lives of people in our communities. We allow paid time off for volunteering with any OneMain-approved organization with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt status. Volunteer time accrues at 24 hours per year. These hours can be used at your discretion, but require manager approval. We also celebrate our successes by recognizing top volunteers and sharing team volunteer stories. Make sure to log your time into the OneMain Lends a Hand program.
* Eligible team members are granted up to five sick days when needed for unscheduled or unexpected health or emergency needs, such as your own or a dependent family member’s illness or other medical needs, health emergencies in your immediate family, or dependent care emergencies. Team members are required to use sick time for the short-term disability wait period. Time off for exempt team members is handled in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. Managers have flexibility to determine other work arrangements as appropriate. Non-exempt team members may use this time off for doctor appointments (routine or not). Certain states have additional non-standard time away from work requirements. Refer to the Time Away From Work Policy for complete details. OneMain reserves the right to change payroll dates and time away from work. Accruals may be different where required by applicable state or local law.
